With a deep understanding of procurement and supply chain delivery I can help hotel owners or operators to make selections and negotiate terms with suppliers to ensure an optimal outcome for the hotel(s).

I have previously worked on procurement and supply chain activities from RFQ/RFP through to delivery and service management for global programmes supporting properties in over 120 countries in the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Asia Pacific regions.

Property Openings and Transitions – Technology Leadership & Governance

Opening new hotels, transitioning from a managed agreement to a franchise MA, or converting from one brand to another are complex and challenging processes. Property conversions (flag changes) typically follow an accelerated delivery plan, with complicated legal and other transitional implications as the hotel changes hands, management status, or shifts from one brand to another.

I have several years’ experience leading these activities from a technology perspective. The migration of data across property systems, integrations and the governance of these complex projects requires a set of competencies and understanding that operational teams may not have. I can support your hotels with this type of project, enabling you to achieve that opening deadline as far as technology is concerned.

Environmental sustainability is proving to be an increasingly important aspect of property operations. Having first worked in a sustainability role (in the media and advertising space) as a graduate in 1992, I have a long track-record of identifying and delivering practical, real-world examples, using technology as an enabler.

If you are looking to reduce your carbon footprint, I am Carbon Literacy Project Certified and have also studied for a master’s degree in Sustainability with Behaviour Change at the Centre for Alternative Technology (affiliated to Liverpool John Moore’s University). I have a broad and detailed knowledge of the types of change necessary to reduce environmental impact, while at the same time enhancing business efficiency.
